Multiply!

Last evening, at a local church in Pella (Federated), Chris and I had the opportunity to attend a live webcast called Multiply. The two lead speakers were Francis Chan and David Platt. Anyone can now log on to their website and view the same. We highly recommend it. The message or PLEA is taken from Matthew 28: 18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, " All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." We are to go - whether it is next door or to another country - and make disciples. It is not an option, but a command to all who call Jesus "Lord." We have all received gifts from the Holy Spirit that we can use to fulfill the Great Commission. As we obey, we have the comfort in the knowledge that Jesus is always with us. Jesus left the disciples with these last words of instructions. So as we make disciples they in turn make disciples who make disciples - and the Word is known and spread throughout the whole world!
